Book of Life of the Lamb
- these things were decided before "the Foundation of the World"
- the end was planned from before the beginning with Jesus in mind
- Life is available because of Christ's sacrifice

the Passover
- in the Exodus story we see God preparing people for the Cross
- Leaven - the pervasiveness of sin
- Lamb - the power of Blood
- Celebration - an act of God to remember (why?)

the Cross
- the message of the cross is foolishness for Natural men, but is wisdom from God
- the Romans saw this as a place to crush Rebellion and bring Death
- the Jews saw the cross as a place of Humiliation and Curse (Deuteronomy 21:23, Gal 3:13)
- the Father saw this as a place to accomplish exactly what was needed!

the Mediator
- Jesus takes Fulfills the OLD and begins the NEW
- the Lord's Supper: Passover+
- the final Sacrifice and an eternal redemption (12)

Small Group Questions:
1 can you think of a time a stupid decision cost you more than you thought it would? why is “yeast” used in the Bible to describe sin? [talk about the way isolated sin can lead to habits of sin]

2 what area do you think people in your culture are most deceived in? [like what have people let creep in that doesn’t even get addressed anymore?]

3 why did God want Israel to remember Passover annually with a specific holiday? [it wasn’t a one time event but something that pointed forward to another rescue]

4 how would you describe the similarities between the Passover rescue story and your own personal rescue story?

5 why is participation in the Lord’s Supper an important time for the Church? What are some ways you try to focus on Christ during that time? [remembering vs forgetting, familiar vs distant]
