whether or not you will count the cost and by faith chose to follow Jesus.
That means recognizing you are a sinner in need of a savior - spiritually dead and separated from the God who created you, deserving His wrath as just retribution for your rebellion and unable to make any amends on your own.
From that humble position you must see Jesus as He truly is. Fully God and fully alive. Risen from the dead and offering the free gift of salvation to any who would believe that His sacrifice on the cross for you satisfied the demands of God's justice and made a way for you to be made new.
By faith, we are united with Christ, receiving New Life, His life! We are born again, forgiven of our sins, and for the first time able to live lives pleasing to God as we become less like the world and more like Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit lives in believers and is the guarantee of that new life. He empowers us towards righteous living while convicting us of the sin we fall into but are no longer enslaved by. He brings enlightenment and understanding to the Word so that we can walk in Faith, worship God, and live abundant lives that honor Him.
