We Speak

Matthew 28:19, 2 Timothy 2:1-10, Ephesians 6:20

1. Disciples Make Disciples
- perpetual motion, longevity, the Church is bigger than one particular people, place, or culture
- 2 Timothy 2:2 - 4 generations of dicipleship

2 Disciples Do Disciple Things
- Jesus' final statement of purpose has depth and weight
- out of place priorities seem strange (externally) and yet familiar (internally)
- what else would Jesus have emphasized?

3 Disciples Go in Faith
- belief > obedience
- a strong belief is enough to move someone to action
- good evangelism comes from good discipleship
- Ephesians 6:20

Small Group Questions:
1 what does it mean for you to be a disciple? what do you do that non-disciples don’t do?

2 disciple makers have been disciples themselves at some point - what is the benefit of this overlap for the Church? (ongoing, generational, more grace) how can you be both even as teenagers? what opportunities are available to you now?

3 of the “things disciples must believe if they are actually going to go” list, which are the hardest to move forward in faith on? (my incomplete list contains these truths: Jesus is the only hope, Jesus is with following, the living Word has the power to enlighten hearts, not me...)
