Victory

we have talked about the greatness of Jesus and how His greatness was on full display at the cross.

It is there that He served us FULLY - showed the full extent of His love - to lay down His life for His enemies, to bring restoration and redemption

but that wasn’t the End of His RACE - as Paul was considering the GREATNESS OF JESUS’ humiliation, the Holy Spirit reminded Him that Jesus will also be seen in the GREATNESS OF HIS EXALTATION

Isaiah 45:23

GOD’s promise to Isaiah is fulfilled in Christ.

Every knee will bow
-every one will be put in their place
-every one will see Jesus as He truly is
-some will bow as rebels - the time of Jesus being an object of reproach will end
-some will bow as servants - those who will rejoice over His fame (Isaiah 26:8)

“I want to see Him known, high and lifted up, recognized and worshiped”
or apathetic, sleepwalking in light of the work of Christ

He will overcome the darkness of the world, we are called to believe NOW, trust NOW
submit to Him NOW, and walk with Him in His ways NOW

John 1:5
“The Light shines in the darkness but the darkness has not overcome it”

John 16:33
“Take Heart, I have overcome the world”

2 Corinthians 4:7-10
“So that the Life of Jesus may be revealed in our body”

Choose to align yourself with the one who has overcome

There is no place for worry, confusion, despair

In Christ, he changes us and helps us to overcome, to follow Him
Light, Confidence, Life

Last week:
what do you represent? if someone were to look in, what would they see?

will you make this your prayer this week:
Jesus you have overcome, one day everyone will see you - help me to see you NOW
1 help me to reflect your LIGHT to be good and kind and to do the right things
2 help me to be confident as I trust you
3 and may people see you, your life in me, as I handle the trouble of the world differently, with your perspective and in your strength
