"That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,

    which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither—

    whatever they do prospers.

that person who disconnects from the World (vs 1)

and delights in the Word of God (vs 2)

finds this promise:

1) access to the source of Life

2) produce fruit

3) avoid death, empty choices and consequences

4) prosper

depth in Life is not found in the accumulation of possessions but in finding Christ

our roots have to be in the right place (Isaiah 40:24)

where we plant roots matters:

where do I find my identity?

where do I find my worth?

what do I value?

what do I draw attention to?

who do I think gets to decide what's best?

these questions will help us to identify where we are growing roots
